What it is
DotUI is a UI design kit built from particle systems and halftones, aimed at tech startups — a dot-grid visual language with the components already made.
Why we made it
The dotted, halftone look is everywhere in startup branding and nowhere in the available design resources. If you wanted it, you built every component from scratch, every time. We had, repeatedly, and got tired of it.
So it exists because the gap was real and the fix was a weekend of work we would otherwise keep repeating.
Status
Still in progress, and published free on Figma Community. Open to contributors — if you work in this visual language, the file is there.
