The case study
The brief
A dashcam retailer with a working storefront and a bottleneck behind it. The interesting problem was not the shop — it was the hours going into handling each order by hand.
What we did
We customised a WooCommerce theme for the storefront rather than rebuilding it, because the storefront was not where the money was being lost. The budget went to the part that was:
- A seller toolkit handling WhatsApp notifications and order flow — where their customers already were
- AI-assisted workflow automation for the repetitive seller operations that do not need a person
- Order handling tightened so growth did not mean proportionally more admin
Why this one is worth reading
This is the clearest example of a judgement we make often: the most valuable thing we can build is frequently not the thing the brief leads with. Here, a prettier storefront would have changed nothing. Removing a manual step from every single order changed the business.
