The case study
The brief
BCIF needed a corporate site with two requirements that usually pull against each other: the client had to be able to edit it freely, and it had to display live index data without looking like a spreadsheet.
What we did
We built a custom Elementor theme from scratch. The point of building the theme rather than buying one is that the brand rules live in the theme: the client can rearrange, add and edit pages all day and the typography, spacing and colour hold.
For the data, we wrote a JavaScript real-time charting plugin — the off-the-shelf options either could not take the live feed or could not be made to look like the rest of the site.
We also directed the overall design process to keep it aligned with the client's commercial goals rather than our preferences.
